Product Reviews:
A good second book, once you have the basics ( bob_kaucher )
I like this book a lot but it has some issues. Some reviewes have noted that it is penned by multiple authors and this causes it to be kind of choppy. I believe that is a valid criticism but we need to consider that this book is not supposed to be your first SharePoint book but would be a very good second one. This is for people who have learned about SharePoint, maybe done a test deployment and want to really get their hands dirty with multiple aspect of the SharePoint technologies. If you are looking for something for primary study, this book is not for you. If you truly have a good fundamental grasp of SharePoint administration and want to move on to work with branding or BI quickly, then this is your book.

  Nothing Beats the Real World
What a great book. It shows you how things are really done. Showing you examples from start to finish it is a great resources when planning or designing a sharepoint environment. What is best is that most chapters leave you with some many ideas not only from what is written but also what else the MVP's cover.

A Great Work!!
not recommended..much better books are out there
This books lacks rhythm. Being written by multiple authors, its a bumpy ride from chapter to chapter. Most of the examples dont work.
  Great book. ( cgeier3 )
Very good practical book on SharePoint. I own several different books on this topic and this one is GREAT!
  Examples are not working!
Can't someone edit this book before it's published? For example, chapter 9 workflow integrating with InfoPath is not working! There are missing information here and there and I wouldn't have known unless I look at the author website. But still, it doesn't work (your initiation form is missing).
